Adjustable rev limiters? Where to get?
I really would like to get a CDI box of some soft, or an external module that allows me to program, or, even have a preset and permanent rev limiter. The stock CDI Doesn't got crap and I love the sound and it makes me feel safer that if I ever crashed and the throttle got dug in and I was hurt it wouldn't blow up on me. Let me know, I'd love links to a few. I know I saw one on Special K's LXR.
I'm one hell of a typer. Maybe it helps with throttle control?

The bike has a limiter built in stock...

I can't seem to find it no matter how high I rev it. I want it low, like 10k, not like.. 14 where the stock one is lol.

Hold it open it gets there, all the weight on the crank make the bike rev ungodly slow. And I'm sure the engineers at Kawasaki put it where they did for a reason.

ooracing in the uk has them for like 60 us$ i have 2 of them on order they have a youtube video of it too. it has from 3000 to 11000 for adjusting. and hondaminitrail.com aka chp has one that i have. but i cant figure out how to get it wired up so i dont really recomend it.

Cool Kyle, can I get a link to the CHP one, I'm sure I could figure the wiring out and I'm sure it isn't that hard with instructions.

The stock one does have a limiter, but the stock engine cant reach it because too much internal resistance and not enough power and some valve float. I built a full mod and i could hit the limiter on the stock cdi just like a big bike. But the Chp one is just like special k's i think and it needs a 12v source to run it, so that is the tricky part of the wiring

Ah I see. With that said I won't mess with it. I just want a plug and play that the stock motor can actually reach. They sound so badass I'd buy one just to sound cool in neutral infront of my friends lol!

Does anyone have any idea as to how to get one of these to work?

i really don't think bike hit them unless the bike is heavily modded.very heavily lol i have a tb race head 146 kit race cam and 26 mm carb and my bike revs really really high but no rev limit.i have to stop revving before the bike blows up. the cool part about the rev limiter i ordered is that it is also the cdi unit! ill tell you guys about it when i get it up and running.
