    Are my ZOKES missing something?

Just bought my first mod bike so I'm new to marzocchi's. I wanted to upgrade from the Formula brakes to the BBR brake kit. So I bought the kit used and he gave me 2 mounts...neither fit right. Is the mount on my forks missing something?

there is an aluminum adaptor that mounts between the forks and the caliper. Your BBR caliper will not directly bolt to the forks

Those forks are the Marzocchi KX65 forks so the mount is for the KX65 caliper. NOTE: With the KX65 caliper you would need to run a 180mm rotor,, I made a prototype for a KX65 OEM Fork set up to change the adapter on the caliper to run the 200mm rotor. If you want I can see about making another one,, it would cost $90 though cause I would have to get my machinist to lathe the post for the bracket that goes in the caliper.

Those are better then the regular marzpchhi cast aluminum bottoms. You can buy a kx65 caliper and mount it directly on there no mounts needed. Or use the mount that was used for your formula breaks and bolt the bbr mount to that

my formulas were upgraded to 200mm rotor and uses this adapter from PAX Formula 200mm Brake Adaptor .

my BBR caliper is about a half hole off from bolting to it, which i could make work, but even if i did the caliper would be mounted too far from the rotor. but maybe a stock formula adapter (160mm is it?) would work for my BBR caliper??

The Hayes brake set up came with the 180mm rotor so if you could find the Hayes 180mm rotor which will mount up to your KLX110 Marzocchi wheel you have and then get a KX65 Front caliper then the it will work. I will be going by the shop later and I will find out if I have a hayes rotor.

The local motorcycle shop told me about a guy they use for custom welding on stuff. Gonna give him a call and see if he can make some mounts on the fork for my BBR setup.

If SR has the parts for what you want to do go with em. Parts are top quality. Yes it may cost u a little more but he has done the research and design, thats what you are paying for. I got the CR adaptor for my zokes and it is slick.

I would have went with a kx65 wheel and brakes and the SR mount for sure if i would have known all this up front...but now that I've spent $300 on the BBR kit I'm pretty much stuck with them.

So I guess I'll have this guy weld some new mounts on my forks.

Please do not weld anything to your forks! You will ruin them, call bbr send back the brake kit buy a 65 front wheel and caliper will work better then the bbr anyway. If you weld to that axle carrier it will most deffinately break in a short time. I have a 180mm galfer wave rotor for a kx65 wheel brand new i will sell 50 bucks its yours, if you get that kx65 front wheel that is.
