What mods should i do to my TTR 90?

I just picked up a TTR 90 for just 200 bucks and all i had to do to get it running is clean the carb. I am going to use it as a pitbike. The first mod i want to do to it is an aftermarket exhaust. Which brand sounds the best? Also after i get an exhaust what mods could i do to make it easier for a bigger guy to ride?

What year is it? A buddy of mine has a 2007. Can't find any aftermarket parts for it.

I think that it is a 2003 I bought from my neighbor and he didn't know. I know it was bought around 2002 or 2003 new so it's probably an 03 or 04.. I don't think yamaha ever changed anything to the 90 over the years except they make an e start version and mine is kickstart. Only aftermarket parts i've been able to find is quite a few companies make exhausts for it. I think people put kx 60 suspension and stuff on them too.

I know FMF has a PC4 pipe for it, TTR90's aren't very popular as far as Mini's go. Not a lot of aftermarket parts.
If a mini is considered an iron pony, and an pony is relatively half the size of a horse. Does that mean it only has .5 Horsepower?

yeah i know that... I will probably pick up an fmf but two brothers, big gun, gytr, pro circuit, and dr.d also make them. I ride sand dunes on quads and i just picked up the ttr because it was cheap and it will be fun to buzz around the parking lot with. The only thing i will probably ever do to it is add exhaust, and some better handlebars.

Yes, you always have to re-jet when an air filter or exhaust is added.

not all the time depends on your elevation and what else is done to the bike. sometimes like in my case my stock jetting was fine, all i had to do is turn the fuel screw a little when I put a new exhaust on my ttr. I would recommend ordering a jet kit just in case though

Good Buy dude. I have a couple R90's in my stall. They are a blast. They don't make a ton of stuff for them but you can find most everything you need to make them adult friendly. The first thing is fasterminis.com makes a replacement billet riser / top clamp. this is a must because the stock one will bend the first hard double you case. Trust me. Throw a set of tall bars (pro taper is what i like) the 90s have plenty of cable if you flip the throttle sleeve and reroute the brake cable to the front of the number plate. I am partial to my two bros pipe and an air cleaner delete and swap to an open element uni pod. This will def need rejetted, but makes them run alot better, and gets rid of that bulbous stock air box. suspension sucks, bbr still makes springs for front and rear, fronts work well, rears suck if your over 140lbs imo. Works makes a great gas shock setup and will build it to your weight. Best $$ i have spent. Tall seats are availible around the internet as well as a HD footpeg bracket. We have a backyard track and there are 4 or 5 R90s that come out, from mild to wild. Half the fun is finding what works, and people saying whats bikes that. Have fun.

What parts, of any are interchangeable between the 110 (tons of parts) to the 90? Are heads, cylinder, cams swappable? this would open up a world of parts, if so.

    Skud3695 great info!

I just picked up a 2006 ttr 90. Will the protaper mini handle bar and triple clamp you mention on fasterminis.com fit the the bike if I reroute the cables like you mention.

I just got done ordering the bbr front and rear springs, wish I saw you post sooner. The new rear spring will just have to do for now, I am a little over 140 pounds.

Once last question what is a HD footpeg bracket?
