Klx 110 jumps when put into first gear and its hard to shift

Okay so I had gotten this Klx 110 and I'm starting to put money into this but my problem that I am trying to figure out is that every time I start it up and put it into first gear it almost pops a wheelie and lurches and it's a huge pull. Now for a little kid this would about throw him off.and the gears are very hard to shift threw. I have to put in gear for other people because they can't do it. Any help or ideas of what could be wrong I would appreciate it.

try adjusting the clutch. Its the bolt on the clutch cover. If that doesnt fix it the dogs may be worn causing the hard shifting.

adjust the clutch, or replace the dogs which would require the cases to be split. Maybe someone else has another idea but I don't know anything other than those two that would cause that.

Maybe try going through clutch, I've heard sometimes the disk might rub together and hard to shift into second, does it shift in other gears good?

It's still pretty rough throughout all the gears. They sell a quick shift or something like that. Do u think that would help it. And what would be the cause of the jumping of the bike when I put it in gear?

Simple test: lift up on the shifter, hold it there into first and hit the throttle. If the bike moves, the clutch is not adjusted properly and you then need to use a screwdriver and and 12mm wrench to adjust the nut on the side of the clutch cover. Loosen the nut and mess with the screwdriver going both directions until you get to the point where holding up on the shifter and giving it gas does not make the bike move. This would be the cause of the hard shifting and jumping when going into gear

Turn down the idle.. If its jumping into a wheelie with no throttle that would mean your idle is high and that is also why it's hard to shift because it always wants to go

If I turn down the idle then it won't stay running. Right now I have the main adjuster on the carb at 1/4 of a screw out from all the way in. If I turn it down then it won't stay at idle. It will just die if I don't give it gas. I live in dallas Texas so the elevation isn't high or anything but it just won't stay at idle if I turn it down. I'll just try petersens idea

i wouldnt worry soo much bout ur idle and carb suggestions but

its gotta be something with the clutch.

    Check:
CLutch basket, maybe the disk are dissengaging right
Check your oil, thick oil might not help

oil isnt going to make the bike jump....adjust the clutch and let us know what happens then.
