Help Me plan my Build
what's up guys Im a mini noob and need some help planning my klx110 build. I'm going to buy a roller to start with. I basically want the best bike for the money . I want to be able to ride a track with it and be competitive on it . I need help on what forks swingarm shock and basically everything I need on it. It's my first build so I don't want to spend 5k on it. All I know is I plan on using the piranha 140 in it. Help me out guys!

The 140 wont work, the engine mounts are different. Instead get a 143 kit and V2 head.
-
ok thanks. for suspension will a sx65 or kx 65 front end fit without modification?
-
You have to press the 110 stem into the 65 clamps. Not big job. My friend had a local machine shop help him out

+1 I ran a 143, V2 race head, and a mikuni 26mm carb. Fun little bike.

What do you suggest for the forks, swingarm, and shock?

if you want good results for less money i would pick up some kx60 forks with stiffer springs (fit in 110 clamps) a +2 swinger and a fox float

If I go with 65 forks Ill go with the SX65 front end. I love the look of the ktm front fender and from what I read, their basically Marzocchi forks.

Okay cool. When I get back from Hawaii Im gonna go pick up a 110. I found a stock one for 1000. Probably get it for 700 though.

Do yourself a favor and forget about the KLX110. I just built one up for my nephew and what a pain to find good parts. Used suspension alone was about a grand. You have to replace almost everything on them to make them a decent adult bike. I have a Piranha with a YX160, V2 head, VM26 carb, that's it. It's got everything, disc brakes, tall seat, cradle frame, manual clutch, 4-speed, quality suspension, and it's based on the CRF70 which is a roomier layout. The KLX has none of that stuff. If I were buying now, I would buy the new Piranha with the Daytona Anima engine. Not even $3000. My 2 cents

Buy a stock bike. Get a peg bar seat some xr50 bend pro tapers a longer brake cable. Damning rods springs a float 35t rear sprocket 143 stock head with a 26mm carb a d2 pipe and bam. I folding shifter and over the top brake pedal. Hell I even buy stock tires for mine. That set up is perfect IMO and bullet proof
