    Rear Brake Help!

Someone please actually respond to this..hehe

Anyone have ANY pics of their bbr superpro swinger with stock rear drum setup. I CAN NOT get the rear brake to work. Its soo stupid and easy but its just not working. Its like the cable is too long, the extension his hitting the brake barrell, which pushes the lever on the hub forward so when you step on the peddle it actually dis-engages the brake. I just put a 2bros over the top pedal on and it hits the case too...ahhh this 110 is becoming nothing but a headache.

    Can you get a picture?

Good luck finding a steel over the top brake lever that doesn't need to be tweaked. Once you get it to the right shape it'll stay.

I pulled my over the top brake out with my hand little by little until it bent just enough to where it didnt hit. Could you get a pic of the torque arm.

Do yourself a favor and loosen up the axle bolt so that the drum brake part that the arm gets attached to will move freely so that it will meet the arm.

let me know how it works out.

see if i do that then the little arm on the hub moves up and seizes the rear brake and I then cant adjust it to loosen the brake at all. :/

Off to mess with it again, got a suggestion from slapaho16...thanks man, ill report back

and if you really want to do yourself a favor you should put a KX65 rear disc brake on that BBR swingarm. - TNPracing runs the KX65 adaptor brackets so that we can run the oem disc brakes of a KX65 rear.

Yeah, You have to cut the original rod down some so that the extension will not be too long. So some of the original brake rod gets cut off then you put the rod extender on to that and then it should be perfect so that it doesn't cause the arm to go upward.

Take the brake rod off the arm before you turn the hub portion to meet up with the tourque rod also. From the looks of it though you also need to cut the threaded portion of the stock rod to half the length then screw the extender on. I believe it tells you that in the instructions.

haha, dont worry that setup is coming soon. I got it to somewhat work but the fugin peddle hits the case and if it doesnt hit that it hits the peg mount. Oh well, it stops ok for now, not the best at all. :/

Ok, I think I see what your problem is, If your brake arm that comes out of the housing is hitting the swingarm and not working, Move it so that it will work?

no the back part is all good to go. The actual 2bros over the top hits the case and then if I bend it and push down it ends up hitting the peg mount. The rear brake is dragging a bit but oh well. Im over trying to mess with it, its good enough for now, thanks all

You could try moving the brake rod to the top of the swingarm and maybe it wont drag anymore.
