Anyone running one, whats the opinions on them?
I have two. Reservoir on my BB bike and non-reservoir on my stock bike. Both are sweet. They save your back too. iShock has great customer service as well.
I just picked up a non resi, hope it does the trick, now for a 65 front end
I like mine (non resi) but Im not that hard on it just hitting some rollers. Im a fat ass and have gained an additional 25lbs in the last 2 months from stopping smoking. Im up to 225 and cant see my feet but my i-shock rocks. You gonna eat that pickle?
Whats the difference between the resi n non resi? I am looking into getting one.
a resi helps cool the shock, the oil cools the shock internals so the performance doesn't change throughout the ride........if your not pushing the bike to its limits you don't need the resi
also the resi shocks usually have more fine tuning adjusments
not to nitpick but the external resivor helps to keep the oil cool, not the internals of the shock. Its the oil flowing through its respective valving (compression and rebound) that gives the shock dampening characteristics. Withough the valving and oil you just have a small pogo stick supporting the back end of the bike.
They are hit and miss alot of people on here have good luck but I personally have trash canned two of them and several people I know have done the same on both 50's and 110's.
My Verdict is they're J_U_N_k.

I have 2 both on 05' KLX110s. I went with the longer 275mm with 150lb spring on one and a 250 spring on the other. Both are great for giving the bikes added clearance in the back.
Mine are ridden by 9 and 11 year olds. The 150 spring will almost bottom out with me sitting on it at 175lbs. I believe you can get up to 450lb sring for larger riders. I've also heard great things about the Works shock and will probably go that route with the build for the 15 year old.
Stay away from Pro Wheel. My 9 year broke one of those off 6' jumps.
Good Luck . . .
Just saw this on e-bay this morning. Works must be having a garage sale

i have one with no reservoir and i like it.
yeah sorry, thats exactly what i said, i just worded it differently march686
I got one with a resi. I like it. I've never had a different brand on my bike, but for how I ride so far, its worked great.
I had one and i think it had 450lb spring which was way to stiff for me at 170lbs.
I had the regular ishock for a 110(without resi) and it worked good on my bike and i sold it to my friend. Now it like doesnt work or something. It will compress like and inch and stop. On mine it felt perfect for me (as in stiffness) then it was put on his bike and is hard and just bounces over bumps with no soak. He has an 03 in case that has anything to do with it, but what could it be. I took it off my bike and put it on his bike and went to riding so i know he didnt mess it up. If it was put on the wrong way could it of messed it up.
do you and your friend have stock swingarms?
i have one on my 110 not sure if its the regular one or the extended.. but i like it.. but then again i havent really jumped it with it on
Yea, we both had extended swingers at the time. Now i moved to an extended but his is still stock. But it worked good for my stock swinger.
