frame numbers and year make?

i just got another klx 110 how do u tell which year model it is by frame number?? which one tells what year it is?

the tenth digit will tell you..if its a 2 its a 2002, 3 is a 2003 and so on. this is true with anything with a 17 digit VIN. this only works on VINs 2001 and newer. 2000 and older is a little more complicated because it uses letters and there are some letters that are skipped.
