What clutch to get
I have herd some ups and downs of the hydro clutches and also some ups and downs of the cable. I am lost on which to buy. I know the TB has the cool cover but then there is also the takegowa that is $299.99 without gear. What does the gear do? wouold i be better off with a hyrdro clutch? Also, are all hydro clutches the same? i have seen some motoHP ones around pretty cheap. Well, thanks for any input.

Re: What clutch to get
I think that gear that your talking about is the ''primary drive gear.'' It replaces your centrifugal clutch setup, and more or less makes it direct drive. I'd go hydraulic. Not a big fan of cables.

The Maverick Hydro is a great system but with the advent of the Takegawa 6disk clutch set up and cable system. I've yet to find a better system.
that's my opinion...

Well the 6 disc is like $600. The take cable is good but the hydro will last longer and the feel will always be the same.

A hydraulic clutch will last as long as you want it too. Occasionally you should bleed the system and run new fluid through it, just like your brakes on your big bike.
Semi-Auto is when you have a manual clutch used in conjuction with your centrifugal clutch. You can manually modulate your clutch with this setup, and at the same time, wont ever have to use it. Basically it would be like ridiing how it is now, but youd have the option to slip the clutch. And full manual is just that. You have the use the clutch for everything, like on a big bike.
And there is no real reason to think that a hydraulic clutch will constantly give you problems or is less reliable then a cable. Once you get it on there, there it is basically maintenance free. A cable can fray, and requires constant manual adjustment. A hydro could loose a seal, or get a hole rubbed in the line.
