Is the takegawa worth the extra money?![]()
This is a discussion on CHP Cable clutch kit or takegawa cable clutch kit???? within the KLX110, DRZ110, TTR90 forums, part of the General Talk category; Is the takegawa worth the extra money?...

both are sick, i personally have a takegawa and love it
I also have the Takegawa and love it. Very smooth and looks sick with the polished cover. Its up to your wallet. Get the primary gear too. So much lighter and revs so quick! One of my best investments on my bike.

I had the CHP but didnt like it that much..... lever was sketchy, and the clutch arm thing was gay...
I agree with the primary gear.
I run a CHP cable clutch and even with Twobros. hd clutch springs (all 6) the pull is still easy. I run a cold fusion primary drive too. I constantly get asked why my bike 'whistles' lol.

IMO the clutch pull on the CHP/TB clutch is horrible.Super hard to pull. The Takegawa clutch is smooth as butter and the way to go for sure.

i have the chp and it works fine. no problems
i have teh CHP kit and love it. Real nice looking, easy to install, and have had zero problems
I personally (keyword)hate the way the stock/aftermarket clone covers look...so I went with the takegawa setup and love it... Its alot more streamlined ....and the raw aluminum looks alot better than black to me ....
my only issue was with the supplied perch/lever assembly.... To me it was a stiff pull ... But I'm running the 6 disc clutch kit with 6 heavy duty springs... I had an extra oem yamaha quick adjust lever/perch assembly in the shop I threw on and its night and day difference .... Super easy pull and quick adjust to boot
i had the chp clutch and the perch that comes with it is hard to pull. if you use a works connection elite perch, it pulls easy and smooth, now i have the takegawa clutch and i think it performs the same. the takegawa is a lot slimmer and gives you more foot room. both of them are good though
...without a doubt the works elite is the shiznit, but its 140 bucks a pop !!Originally Posted by cole210

The nice thing about the Tak clutch other than it looking nice is that it is a slim fit cover design, meaning more foot room on the footpeg. With that though you have to run the primary drive gear because the oem auto clutch wiil not fit inside the cover.
