bump. and an fyi... im gonna load up my bike and take it up to highland valley road on sunday morning. its off the 15 near escondido. its a high performance style road with a lot of tight turns. gonna put some wear on the edges of the tires. if anyone wants to roll, let me know
what kind of mini you have?
fiddy from the five fifty
Hey man I am moving to Escondido in 2 weeks, and really thinking about bringing my CRF50 as both a toy and something to keep the hobby alive. Problem is, the previous owner put an 88cc kit on it, which wouldn't be legal right? Or would I be able to just get a road legal kit and register it or something?
Damn that's too bad.. I would like to keep riding some sort of bike out there, and the thing really is a blast. Are there good places to ride out there? I don't think it would do well on any of the dunes.. no paddle tires and too underpowered. I would love to take it on some trails to see how it could do, as long as there's no deep water haha.
Either way it's not a big deal, if it's not worth the trouble then I'll just leave it here in Massachusetts and try to have a friend keep it running or something.
no theres a lot of places to ride here. we got the desert and a bunch of off road parks. its just that the dmv here wont street legal dirt bikes anymore. they stopped doing that in 2003 i believe so if you didnt have a bike that was plated before then, its extremely difficult if not impossible to do it. you gotta buy something that already has a plate.
We do a street legal ride down in SD in early July. Keep your eyes peeled for a thread when the time comes.
i grew up on zoe street a block away from there. i really like wheelieing up that hill
very nice, i have lived in clairemont my whole life
awesome, another clairemonster. i live down in bay park right across the street from oconnells. if you hear a mini mashing through your hood from time to time, its most likely me. sorry for the noise
