Orlando Water Sports Complex is now having two mini motocross tracks built by Mark Barnett. I got a chance to get out to Orlando Watersports Complex this morning to check it all out, unfortunately I didn't have access to my digital camera so I didn't get any pictures. However I can tell everyone right now that this track is another beautiful display of Mark Barnett's track building skills. Without a doubt, he knows what he is doing and he was the best man for the job. Apparetly Stewart, Carmicheal, Ferry, and a list of others all think so too, seeing how Mark builds all their practice tracks. The expert track was pretty much a miniature supercross. It was absoluetly perfect in my opinion. I am a huge fan of all the tracks Mark builds. It is all made from gorgeous red clay, aprrox 400 loads of it. Its a pretty damn big track. The expert track has an elevated start pad, followed by a long start straightaway that leads right down the center of the track. There is almost too much to list when it comes to the jumps, there are all sorts from triple stepups and stepdowns, to single tables to rhythm sections, you name it and its most likely out there. The tunnel jump was enormous, they pushed 50 loads of clay up around the long ends of a full size shipping container. The expert track looks like a lot of fun, however a stock crf50 will be begging for some suspension. I also think that a big bore kit might be a must to get over some of the bigger more technical sections. I talked to the owner about pricing, he told me that it will most likely be $20 a day, and no membership required. Overall it looks amazing, I almost cant wait untill their grand opening on March 16th. This looks like a place that I will be spending a lot of my time in the future.
I found some pictures on Fox Racing's website. They aren't very great, considering there is more to the track than just this corner, but it gives you an idea.
