frame Q's
Currently I am having issue after issue with my stock honda frame. Not what most will expect, but because of my 125, and it's corrisponding big ass carb, I can't get the carb to interface with the head and not contact the tank or frame. So, what are my options?
I was looking at the profile of the XR70 frame and it seems to have more clearance ontop of the motor. But will all my existing parts work. Body work, swinger, etc? If not....help!

i think someone makes tank lifters to give more clearance for the carb. I bought a knock off so I'm not up to par on the REAL DEALS. Hopefully this will bump start for a better reply. G-luck

You'll need tank spacers and a manifold spacer that enables you to pivot the carb out from the frame .
Just say'n ....

This will allow the carb to be installed in various directions. Tank spacers will also help.

chinese bikes like the Pitster pro, Brand X Minis, and any other SDG style bikes have a taller frame than the stock honda setup. There are little quirks that come with those frames though.
Shock mount - the shock mount is about an inch lower than a stock honda... making the rear end sit up higher.
Brake setup - Pedal location is different... and set up to work with disk brakes
Seat - the seat base is unique to the bike. You need the matching seat for the frame.

I have one of these, doesn't work. the space between the tank/motor and the carb top is too close. I bid on a 24mm intake designed to place my carb at the right location in an XR50. The one I have now is a bit longer and for the Monkey. We will see how it goes, other then the carb, the bike is ready for the streets! Good timing too, it's starting to get to ride season here.
