Widest tire? Pitster or OGM front

I have an older RCM front end on my bike. But it is essentially the same as the pister pro, ogm type with the invert forks. Can someone tell me the widest tire you can run between the forks on these? I know I can run safely the 110/90-12 on a 1.6" rim. I now have 2.5" wide rims and wondering if I can get a 120/70-12 in there. It is for street riding, not racing.

if your running the fork guards, its a goo dchance they will rub. I run a 1.8 front rim with a 100/90 12 dunlop tt92 and it clears. that size may be your best bet. as a matter of fact i would run a 120/80-12 on the rear 2.5 rim. thats what the nsr's and nsf's run with that specific tire from the factory.

Won't be running the fork guards and a 110/90 fits in there today with room to spare on a 1.6" rim. Question is will it work on a 2.5" front rim too? Going to have to keep the 120/70 rear since that is what I purchased. I do have a 110/90 as well but I'd prefer the fatty on the front too.

you know what, i did use a 120/70 micheline pilot on a 1.4 front before. fit fine. sidewall was pretty high but it fit.

im running the kenda 110 / 70 12 and it BARELY clears I had to remove a fork guard. FWIW the kenda k761 is a pretty good cheap tire.

how wide are your triples? That is a big factor. What rings are you using? I'm looking for some for my Motard.
