Ok, You guys, I can't believe that my spring response was the last post on here for a long time now. I've been down and out for a while now (10th freaking knee surgery...same leg...all stemming from 1 accident..but that's another story) Before I re-injured myself, I picked up a roached '08 for a sweet price. Always wanted a 150R, (I've had had full built perimeter BBR TTR150's, a 150F/230F BBR perimeter, and some KLX110's along in there also) but everytime I wanted something with more power than what I had....never satisfied. I came across Adam Berg's (settin'trends) 150R he did, and was totally inspired. As a 47yr old moto-head, I might have deeper pockets than some, and I'm sure most of you will say that I've wasted my money on some useless stuff (Which I'm sure I've done) but I couldn't care less, It's almost done, and as soon as I finish it I'll try to post up some pics. Time to re-vive the CRF150 thread.

As a 45 year old woods racer, Id say you didnt waste a dime. Ive had more bigger minis than I can count, including a 150R chassis with 250X motor. For me the 150 is an awesome play bike, but its not the woods weapon I planned on it being. The footpeg to seat distance makes it very tiring to go from sitting to standing in a 2 hour race.
Your build seems very detailed, anybody can bolt on a few parts, but reworking the triple, replating bolts, stuff like that is what sets it apart.

Thanks!! I too have felt that the foot peg to seat relationship is way too short (I'm 6') With both of my BBR perimeter bikes, they were way roomier in the cockpit area. On this I did do a tall seat, RSW top clamp in forward location, and the Fastway low boy pegs (maybe gained a bit of room)

I don't think the forum is particularly stale, as much as I think it's classified wrong. The 150R and 150F shouldn't be in the same forum, as I doubt they share even a single part. The 150F should be in with the Bigger Minis which is where I posted my current project. I don't think a ton of guys are doing 150R's as pit or play bikes simply because they can't be raced in any of the pit bike races.

I had two of them, and I do love 150R's myself. They just aren't super popular as play bikes IMO. The one you built is pretty cool though! --L*64

rsjkwells.....man awesome work!! That is a lot of work for sure but well worth it. I just recently purchased a 150rb and it is a blast to ride on the track. I just need to get the suspension dialed in. It is not exactly set up for a 190# rider. Where did you get your plastics? I got new plastics and the rear seat and fender doesn't fit very well. You will have to let me know how well your powder coat holds up. My frame is showing rust and could use some attention.
Thanks.

Thanks, I appreciate all the feedback. I bought the plastics off of Ebay, you have to get either UFO or Acerbis for good fitment (I've found) I hope to have it all ready within a week or 2 (depending on my healing) Crossing my fingers. I'll make sure to post up some muddy pics, just to verify that it will be ridden!!!
