You guyz are missing the point. The GPR is a 17 inch wheeled small bore street bike. The NSF copy is a 12 inch wheeled kart track racer.... --L*64

    .......actually that's not quite true!!

When the GPR was designed it was also envisioned as a trackbike, the GPR80 Malossi for racing in a GP80 cup series. The original racing prototype had some pretty cool parts which the street versions didn't have.

It is a very cool bike and once I saw the new in my opinion hideous GPR125 4t I new I better pick up a GPR myself. So I've just bought a new 2009 GPR50 Malossi replica to add to the stables!!

    Re: NEW NSF100F copy!?

The GPR would be a decent track bike on BIG tracks. It would be big to navigate a kart track with. BUT.... since we are talking Derbi-- I have a serious Derbi/Metrakit motor in my Metrakit road racer that I would like to keep racing with. Right now, you can't get anything for the bike from Metrakit due to the fact that they are "regrouping". IMO-- "regrouping"= "bankrupt".

I was kinda thinking about modding a GPR50, or Aprilia RS50 to run 12 inch wheels. It would entail shortening the fork travel, shortening the swinger some, and getting it set up with a set of custom 12 inch wheels. There are custom wheel machinists out there that can machine ya a set-- kinda expensive at about $1000. It wouldn't be too expensive other than the wheels. Anybody think it could work? Metrakit's 17 inch wheeled bikes are the same as the 12 inch wheeled bikes, save for the length of the swinger, and forks. --L*64

comparing this chinese miniGP to the likes of the gp125 machines is like apples n oranges. totally different league.

I'm almost certain this bike will make it here. I know I definitely want one. If only there were a big enough group interested, like NJMP, this would make a fun Spec class with 140 motors.
