cool , I had one a couple of years ago had the honda cr80 engine with a slightly extended swingarm that thing would fly.Also Saw a ysr that had a rz350 engine in it a couple of years ago .

what do you know...just added another '87 YSR50....about same condition and same price..lol.....gonna start collecting I guess.................anybody know what is the largest 2 stroke, power valve water cooled YZ engine that has been put in one of these minis?

Well, since 250 was as big a dinger as Yamaha sold to the GP...

Ohlins sold a 360 kit so poor schmucks didn't have to wrestle 490's around to fight CR500's, but pretty sure they ditched the PV. LA Sleeve might still have a kit, too. Works YZM500 might be tough to get ahold of

yeah but I want something I can ride.....a YZM500 in a YSR50 frame is just a tad bit out of the box for my old arse....lol.....maybe a late model YZ85 or YZ125 be too much you think.....I have seen plenty of Blaster motors stuck in these things but Blasters are are cooled...I want some water wetter running in my veins......Banshee motor maybe

Never seen a banshee motor stuff into one, how much room you got? I've seen a yz250 motor stuff into a hacked up one that a guy used to run 1/8th mile with.
