450cc motorcycle engine

So, they copied the Honda 450 bore and stroke, it's down a point in compression...



They are claiming all of 31hp @ 7500RPM, 31ft/lbs of torque at 6500RPM.



A CRF450X, stock with good jetting is 45hp @ 8000RPM, 31.5ft/lbs of torque at 7000RPM, rear wheel. ( CRF450X Photo Gallery by James Dean at pbase.com ) People are claiming 47hp to 49hp out of stock EFI 450Rs this year...



So, wonder if they copied the Honda close enough to swap in a Honda piston, cam and valves? (At $1200 a piece, minimum order of 50, I'm not going to be the first to find out.)

i would be more concerned with the kickstart gears not crunching like saltines, along with the transmission. The chinese have more of a power transmission issue than the power part its self.

actually it does have a linkage, that swingarm is upside down, the engine is a direct bolt in for a Handa, and pretty much a copy, they have a complete bike almost the exact same, with only minor details changed (10%+ difference).

Yep, That is the bike, only had different color plastics , (preproduction versions).

Interesting. I guess I should ping the .au forums and see what people are saying about it. For that price, I'd be up for trying to race one to see how it shakes out. Motard or GP-Mono style... :P

Hopefully they copied the R valves and not the X. I had to shim my 450X after 9 hours of riding on a new bike!

I know Puzey was working on coming out with a 450 version of their 250 thats out now.

The Chinese look like they are now trying to step up into the 450cc dirt bike market with bikes like this MCF450-R. They claim it has about 46HP and it has a price tag of a little over $6000. I still dont understand why they cant put a decent set of tyres on their bikes.

Whats your thoughts on it?

thats scary id never hit dubbles and triples on that thing seeing whats came out of china for quality on other thing front ends falling off and swing arms death trap ? or im just thinking on the bad side and it could be a amazing bike
