LXR Axles

Hey not here to bash Pitster (I love my lxr) ...



But... my bike keeps eating rear axles..... thats right eating!!





I have bent countless rear lxr axles to the point that the bearings end up destroyed too... So I need some options???

was going to try that but they are 14mm axles the lxr is 15mm



and the crf150r are 17mm ..............................

All the dealers/microfish that I keep looking at say 14mm rear...

when I helped develope the LXT14/17,, the first one used a kx85 rear wheel,, I am not sure what year it was?, But that one was 15mm axle.

I also used the front and made reducer shims because it was 14mm.

Dunno what you weigh bro but i am 97 kgs and i aint bent one yet. so whate are u doin that bends them so easily

oh and the question,, the kx85 axle IS 15mm on all models since 1998.

soften up the rear suspension compression. are you bottoming it out? what spring rate and shock combo are you using?

MY YZ 80 uses a 15mm year axle.

Mine is stock spring rate stock shock , no bottoming out here .



Only noticed when i pulled wheel off , seemed to of messed up all my bearings... dont want to put new bearings in till i get a better axle in there .



Will the kx85 ones need abit of work ? cut down and rethreaded etc?
