Pitbike Des Nations Race In Illinois

I live in Monee, IL. and have gone to EIU in charleston off the matton exit to visit my ex gf i had but im willing to make the trip its not that far of a ride maybe 2 and 1/2 hours. I stopped into owen motosports one time and a guy said there is a few people that ride pitbikes in the shop he could not believe what i had for bikes when i told him and that i built them myself. lol I got some trick pitbikes to show up with so should be a fun time you guys can check out my bikes and bs. You guys should build a motocross style track with some jumps on it to for sure! i would have to be on somebodys team i dont have no buddys that ride. Keep me informed on this Im game for sure!!! I will mark my calender!

we do have a large outdoor style track very close that we ride at also there is a racetrack about 15 min away with a pitbike track also I am in the process of building a sx track at my dads which is actually across the street from owens. I worked there for many years so all those guys are good friends of mine its like a second home for me. Everyone around is just getting into it last year and I will let you know ad if you ever get down here I live in charleston so hit me up we can try and get some riding in.

Ok cool sounds good keep me informed im willing to make a trip anytime to ride it would be nice to get this sport growing around us for sure! Would be sweet if you built a sx track for sure im game to come down and help. If i had my own bobcat i would come down and move some dirt or help build the track one day thats my next toy! lol Im 24 i ride and race mainly at the Joliet Mx track and i live on 5 acres waiting on building a track or when i get my own place since i want some property for sure...

we would like to make it up for at least 1 of joliet races we are still trying to get bikes all lined out but coming together pretty well. Also we are this years Des Nations race is still in the works for exact day and place But where we held it last year was pretty good all around. If you like check fb its pitbike monday but everything can be located pretty easy around here

Here is the Des Nations trophy for the winning team along with some bubbly and some gift certificates and what not the trophy has winning teams name and members and is displayed at Mattoon Kawasaki yamaha motorcycle shop in Mattoon Illinois hopefully 2nd annual is a bigger and better

UPDATE: Registration for 2012 Pitbike Mondays Des Nations open September 1 exact race date to follow will be mid late September on a Saturday. Any 3 man team welcome. It will be just a 2 moto format with combined scores of the whole team both motos determining final finish position. bikes allowed are any 10' 12' and also any ttr125 crf 100 klx 140 crf150 f or any that follow under this category no liquid cooled or 2 stroke allowed. The track is long outdoor style many elevation changes I will try get some pics from last years race if I can..... Also this is not a sanctioned race it is put on by a few guys that ride race and have the means to do so. So all in all very competitive with alot of bragging rights and a few small prizes for the top teams. Also the riders are anywhere from 16 to 60 there are a few local A class riders a couple pro flattrackers and hillclimbers and some weekend warrior pitbike only guys.
