    Buyer Beware***

I have a post on here that I am looking for a bbr supercomp for a 110 and recently I was sent a PM by a guy named brianashfrd11 (a "new" member) saying he had a supercomp and elka. So after a few emails he got me pics of a brand new looking bbr rear set up just like I wanted and said he was looking for $820 shipped (and he lives in Europe). Then he told me he would take money via western union and money gram. I said I'd do paypal but he said his paypal account had been dormant so it would be easier and that he had never had problems with western union. Then he tried to tell me he was a 65 year old guy that had never screwed someone over before and wasn't sure how he could prove his morals and integrity. He was hesitant to get his paypal account working or to create another one so it sort of made it obvious he was a scammer.

I'm not an idiot so I didn't do the deal...Anyway this is just a heads up to you guys that scum bags are alive and well on here (though some of you don't need a reminder) and a reminder to be very careful. If it sounds too good to be true it USUALLY is

Yeah money orders are a no go to send overseas. That's a classic I ran into that scam trying to buy a sub woofer for my boat along time ago.

Yeah when I was looking into money gram it directly says DO NOT EVER SEND MONEY TO SOMEONE YOU DO NOT KNOW with their service..

Moderators could you look into this user and see if you can link them to other accounts or track who they may be?

gotta be safe if your the seller also. all the buyer has to say is " part never showed" your money gets taken from your account and frozen up to 75 days untill the process is gone through. even though i have PICS of the tracking label and when you track it it shows it was delivered to the address. long story short i sent out the 250 dollar part. now my paypal account is negative 250 dollars and i have paypal calling me 3 times a day telling me too get my balance back to possitive. but then they tell me it could be up to 75 days for my case to be resolved. when i tell them they'll get paid back within 75 days they dont like to hear that....

paypal is a good company but gives the buyer WAY to much power......paypal can be a joke....

^^I found this out the hard way too... I bought a blackberry storm a few years ago (first item I bought with paypal) and he sent me a knock off that was like $150 cheaper. So I contact the buyer and paypal and he agrees to refund me if I send it back. Go to post office and have it sent back with delivery confirmation. Guy says it never arrived. Contact paypal and they said items over like $200 (I think) need signature confirmation. Luckily they (Paypal) agreed to eat $300 for me because it was my first purchase and because they tried to contact the buyer for like a month and couldn't get a hold of him (and since I had confirmation I sent it and it arrived). If I would have got sig confirmation I bet he would have never signed...

You definitely have to be careful...I hate scum bags...had two people on amazon tell me college text books never arrived because I didn't get confirmation too..it's a sad world

also paypal will tell you that if you send funds as a gift there is no protection at all....well thats total BS bc the guy that sent me funds for my part sent it as a gift (so no fee's) and he called his credit card company and the credit card company has more pull with paypal then anyone does....now my case is being reviewed by the BUYER"S CC company....who do you thinks going to win this case?? and the ass clown already has his money returned to him by paypal....so he has the 250 part and the 250 in cash. and im stuck with calls from paypal telling me im gunna get sent to collections.....

and this is why you only buy from sellers who are known on here not some random people who post on here once in a blue moon.

He said he was the seller..not the buyer. Btw, Oo pOop oO, who was the buyer and what did you sell?

And if you have stuff on ebay or amazon you don't get to choose who buys your stuff.. you can choose who you buy from but even then some people like to screw you over

jmoulton is his username and it was a fox float. he sent 17 extra dollars inorder for me too ship the part 3 day select via UPS. so i did. (have pics of the tracking label) it didnt make it by the weekend for some reason (beyond my control) and he wanted me to paypal him back the 17 dollars for freight since it didnt show in 3 days. i told him sorry dude your beef's with UPS not me. i shipped it asap. so he's pissed off. then that next week says he got it but the reducers werent with it so he wants a COMPLETE refund for his money. i know those oring and reducers were in there because i bubble wrapped it up and taped it up.(no the reducer wasnt zip tied and yes i should have but i didnt) so there is PROOF he has the shock. so pissed off about 17 dollars in freight and a 5 dollar reducer (if it was even missing) he calls paypal and says the item was never received. he filed a claim with his credit card company also and there fighting with paypal. and if you were wondering this fox float was MINT not even a year old. did i mention i sent 2 pumps?
