float bowl is stuck. Try tapping on the bowl with a screwdriver or you can take the carb off and unstick the float. It leaks when the gas is off?
no i left the gas on... i always do
Is this going to be an ongoing problem?

Always good to turn tha gas off when not in use.
well i just bought the bike last night.
Started it right up, thew it in my truck (forgot to shut the fuel off)
Started it up at home and drove it into my garage ... I didnt shut off the fuel.
I woke up this morning to find that the bike leaked gas all over the garage floor (it was a slow drip) and took the paint right off the floor!!!
stunk up the whole house through the garage!

Did you buy it new, the dealer should adjust the float for you.
nah, its an 07 with a 143 kit and a bigger carb, bought off some kids out east
turn off the gas and just take the float bowl off. adjust the float and see if it stops leaking
Try tapping the float bowl with a wrench.
Id say the float too I had that problem on my sons bike, but that crimped nipple doesnt sound right. Post a pic if u can that sounds weird to me. Hope u enjoy ur new ride!
its probably the float needle and seat. even if the float bowl height is correct it will still leak fuel if the needle and seat and not seating togeather. take the float bowl off and see if the needle is sticking at all. also turn on the fuel with the float bowl off and push the floats up but gently, if its still leaking thats what you need to replace the needle and seat
