Thank you. I was reading that crap about hoarders not getting the memo, and the "scene" dying, and wondering why no one was bringing up your point. There are people at all levels in this equation: from the hardcores that will never give up their love for minis, to the casual lurker that never chimes in. One thing I use to gauge the interest is how many clicks you get. Even though it has been slow around here, the clicks are about the same. Its sad to lose events like MMSX, and see so many vendors vanish, but there is still a buttload of interest in these bikes and some awesome builds recently (bean, Koby,KLXracer2,reeve6006, to name a few.) The tracks and events are out there. Parts and complete bikes are for sale. Get your ass out there, tear it up, and report back. We will be here.

Lets face it, social media is here to stay. I think people are lazy and its easier to get their daily "fix" (whatever the hobby may be) from social media because its easier and faster and sometimes more local. The forums are an amazing resource but they are kind of old school and more time consuming to use so I think the forums are eventually gonna be left to the diehard true enthusiasts until they modernize the format somehow.

I wish forums were still the "in" thing. I recently bought a crf50 and have gained a vast amount of information from reading this and many other forums. However, after joining a few days ago, I have realised that many of the post are well over 4 years old. Its sad, but I have seen the same thing happen to R/C car forums as well.

True that. There still is no substitute for the collection of experience and knowledge you can get places like this. Unfortunately, the information here is going to be lost if there are not enough users to support it. There is stuff on other social media sites, but it is spread out so far that you have to do a lot more hunting. Support what you care about or it may go away.

Taking delivery of a new Piranha 190 tomorrow

I've been attempting to keep my crew in the Pacific North West into the pit bikes. Most of them don't even know what a forum is, lol.
