hi t-bolt. i'm working on this project:
Motopeds with regards to the above kit they recommend that an auto clutch be used. how much power can you get from an auto clutch (takegawa hd clutch) engine before you loose the reliability and could you build such a beast? is it better just to run manual clutch?

If you're going to retain an auto clutch (which makes sense with that setup, you don't want to have to find neutral or hold the clutch in for every downhill section) I'd opt for a TB or Hortsman billet clutch basket. I've managed to frag cast HD baskets with 7hp.
i'll be downhilling, riding stunts etc. almost the same as a free ride bike. interesting about the hortsman clutch. how hard would it be to retrofit?

just got a pirahna 140 engine to put in my 1979 Z50 and i was wondering if i need to add oil you can see some oil in there but do i need more? if so how much thanks

Just drain all the oil that cam ewith it and add a pint or so that is usually just as much as it takes in the yx 140s
Did I just see 65mm? Ohhh snap! Haha, I have the 184 64mm need more power!
