how to determine year of bike

Guys,
I just picked up an XR 75 but I can not determine the year. The honda tag is on it but it doesn't say a year.

The number on the frame says XR 75 then jumps to a serial number. Nothing in the serial number looks like a year.

How can I tell what year it is? I need a flywheel and I bought one off ebay and it will not go on the shaft. The one I bought was for a 73-76.

Any help will be appreciated.

Post a pick of the bike or the serial #.Be much easier to tell.

The final production year of the XR 75 was in 1979, placing a "6" in the seventh digit's place. A 79 is a xr80...For sure, it has the 5 speed transmission & better suspension. The older ones seem to be more rare and worth a bit more.
