    Barn find Rebuild

    So I have been working on my Barn find cleaning her up and getting her looking right.
    BeforeAttachment 92107
    AfterAttachment 92103
    XR 100 Forks and triple treesAttachment 92106
    Cleaned up the rear shocks and swing arm and wheel hubs
    Attachment 92105
    Trimmed down the broken Mag cover to allow for quick chain service
    Attachment 92104
    Pulled motor back out of the frame as there was very little compression, found a nice unmolested top end motor has never been tapped in too.
    Found a broke top ring and looks like this bike sat for a very long time until someone desided to start it after it sat for a very long time,
    Going to go with a Powrol 80 cc Piston Kit. I found a .25 over but not sure I can clean up clyinder with that, might need a little more like .50
    over.

    Nice work! One of these days I need to dig into the top end of my '74 as it's burning a bit of oil. Also need to find an '77+ 75/80 motor for the hot rod XR75 I'm building. So many toys, so little time.

    That thing is sweet. How did you get the engine so nice. Im rebuilding my first xr currently and would love to know
