    I did it over about four months. Can be a little tough to find some of the parts. Like exhaust, shocks kick starter. I got lucky and found stuff at a good a price and like new

    Mine has most of the original parts, that are in good shape. Unfortunately the plastic parts are shot. Do you know the best place to look for replacement side panels and fenders other than ebay?

    Yes get Maier plastics. Also buy direct from them. They will send you free color samples.

    Wow, great thread. I have the exact same bike in my garage from when I was a kid. I may do some work on it this fall to get it running.

    Go them off ebay for like $35. Ya just have to keep looking. Don't give up
