Theres 2 little tabs inside flywheel that hold the advance mexhanism to the flywheel, at a minimum theyre bent and need straightened once you get the other part off the crank. Go through the parts fische and verify you have everything and reassemble accordingly.

Ok guys and gals I got my new coil and stator in and all of mechanism is there but still no spark. But also the main wiring harness is gone. Before I start sinking money into this I wanna make sure motor is good and runs. Anybody got a pointer or 2 to just get motor to run.

Find the black/white wire coming from the stator, make up a jumper wire long enough to reach the ignition coil/spark plug. Unplug the black/white wire from the ignition coil, and connect the jumper wire to the coil. If the points are clean and the timing is right, you "should" get spark holding the plug and plug wire to the engine, as a ground, while kicking the bike over by hand. If you get spark, reinstall the spark plug in place and hook up the spark plug boot to the plug.

It looks like you're going to have to trace back to the source coil to see which wire goes to that, and then hook the jumper wire to the ignition coil to see if you can get spark.

Don't know how shredded your harness is, the blk/wht wire coming out of the stator plugs into the harness & goes to the coil. also check to see that you don't have a ground problem anywhere in that circuit.that will cause no spark also...

It has no harness. Guy lost it or threw it away before I got it. Do I need a battery for it to start? And where does the green wire go off the neutral switch go to? Thanks
