Post up some pictures so everyone can see what you're working with. Once you remove the flywheel, you should be able to remove the two 6Mx16 flat head screws and remove the stator plate.

I can take the screws off put I can't get it off due to a cone on the end of crankshaft I have never seen one like this before on other projects. The cone is small at base and gets bigger as it comes out towards flywheel

I'll take some as soon as I get home. I ordered new points and condenser and coil cause they are cheap. The plate looks damaged but I could be wrong

+1 on what spiz5 said above, does the inside of your flywheel look like this?

Does it suppose to have dual wraps or a single wrap.

According to the microfiche diagram here, there is supposed to be two coils, the XL75 was a street-legal bike with headlights, horn, etc.

If you don't have all the parts to the mechanical advance system, you're going to need another flywheel as well.
