    Hi, Im building my unicorn xr75 w xr200r

    Well , theres minis and theres minis .I always wanted something with enough power but reliable ,and able to hop on and go.

    I like retro , and the dual shock bikes I have always thought looked cool.
    I know the three wheelers in the 80s were very reliable, and the dirtbike versions had six speed trans.

    Well , i bought a three wheeler head which is about the same except has more fins to aid cooling. I bought a xr200r motor off a guy who thought oil was a million dollars. The cam lost oil and went to war with the head. I plan on going through it all and replacing everything. I want a new motor. I bought a 185 camshaft but I needed a good core for web. I want to build this motor to really move that xr75.

    Im thinking about a 230 crank, and maybe a 67mm piston. So 67mm bore x 66.5 mm stroke with web cam and headwork. I dont see why i cant use a tb 67mm piston in it .I m going to have the crankshaft trued and balanced as much as possible.

    The chassis i found from a buddy thats helping me out with the motor. He had cut the frame out to fit a 250cc off a rebel ! He didn't want to wire it for electric start, he was looking for a xr200r like i had.

    I cleaning the motor up now, pictures to follow.

    Sounds interesting. How much work does it take to make the 200 motor fit in a 75 frame?

    The xr200r motor has wider mounts than the xr75 . So im going to build a mount then weld it to the frame.
    Im using some gpx forks with a 17 cr80 disc wheel

    I have trimmed some metal away to follow the contour of the motor. I need to build wider mounts with spacers . Theres really not much that needs to be changed. Im going to build a cradle / skid plate for the bottom.

    Im using a 1979 kx80 rear swingarm with the shocks with reservoir. I want to do something different with the fuel tank, like mount it behind the motor, inside the frame .That way it will move the weight lower and to show off the backbone of the frame . Something different from all the rest.

    Well i got a cr80 front 17 inch wheel .
    Tried mounting a stock tank but Im using a z50 tank
    I also chose a different swingarm, and some new handlebars.

    How much work went into doing this? I'd like to update my front end to something a bit beefier if I can.

    HI there...YOu should look at my thread of CL125 where I put a CRF230 engine in a CL125 frame...which is just a little bigger frame than you have. I have also obtained a complete xr200 engine core and am currently rebuilding that engine for a future project that is a lot like yours.

    If you are interested, I do have a CRF230 crank here...the connecting rod is still in tolerance.

    Its easy , just get a taper bearing kit to remove the gap . I just put it through the head of the frame washer on bottom .
