    suspension upgrade/lift 1978 Xr 75.

Hey i am currently restoring a Xr 75 1978 model. I would like to lift it since i am quite tall. Could someone please tell me which forks and rear shocks i should buy that would bolt right on. another question would it be wise to buy some larger wheels as well or would the stock ones be fine? Thanks

This is a little hard to answer. Can get a midsize front end with 730mm forks and have a custom steering stem make to bolt it in unless its fits already.
Old conventional CR80 forks bolt up a believe

Motorcycle parts, motor mounts, and racing pipes. Whittier, CA I dont know if they still make parts

Thanks I'll go with some CR80 forks then, but from what year/s?

You can go for a drum brake version if you want. People have swapped all the way to late model upside down forks onto the old xr's

    here is some swingarm info

Comparison of xr75 swingarm vs z50. The z50 mounting is wider so with some spacers you could get a z50 swinger on a xr75 ...maybe

Aftermarket extended swingarms are readily available for the Z and not for the xr75.

But I'm pretty sure the extended swingarms available for the Z aren't longer than the stock XR75 swingarm.

    A Z50 +10cm is approximate to a stock xr75. I believe up to +20cm is available for Z50 which would be a +10cm for a XR75.

Any links to a manufacturer who makes a +8" swingarm for the Z? I'd like to see one.
