    Question Bump start TTR50

Daughters 08 ttr50 been collecting dust, past yr or 2. She got over it as kids tend to do. Bought new battery 14 months ago, got out a couple of times for mates kids. Went to start it 6 months ago nothing but relay ticking. Told relay no good and told price, overpriced. I've always intended to find a compatable replacement, but never got around to it. Last few days decided to work on as to pass it down to my young bloke and that's why I'm here. googled and seems I have found the place to be for answers. You's r awesome who needs a professional looks like I was given wrong info. Anyway, my ? Is what is bump starting and how do I do it, tried running and pop into gear but locks up no hills to roll down around me. Also new battery has sat around to long and is dead. Can I bump start it with out the battery. Bit earlier emptied tank and bowl, cleaned and re-oiled filter cleaned & set plug gap. Gotta change oil but I forgot to get some when I was out, a job for tomorrow. Fuse replaced, getting new battery waiting hopefully tomorrow. Last ? was talking to work mate about bike yesterday (rides and a fitter) said he is sure put in 2nd and lift lever a little thinks might disengage clutch. I have to drive to a hill and pop into 3rd. Is he right. If anyone has any info no matter how small I'd really appreciate it. Thanks...
