I have a stock 2008 TTR-50E. It used to start easily and run perfect. Then it sat for too long.
I have pulled the carb, replaced gaskets, replaced the pilot/idle jet rather than trying to clean it, given the carb four or five cycles in the ultrasonic bath, cleaned out the main jet, blown out all the ports I could find with carb cleaner, and put it all back together. I also put in a new air filter.
After playing around with the air and fuel screws, I got it to start and idle. If I try to give it gas to quickly, it just bogs and dies. If I slowly get the revs up and then chop the throttle, it takes a while for the revs to come back down to idle.
I'm not sure what to check based on this behavior? I've been reading website and watching videos trying to figure it out, but I must be missing something.
Kind of frustrated. Sure could use some help.
