    Is There A Rev Box Availiable For The Ttr 50 And Need Advice..???

    Well after struggling with the feuling and checking the timing i got it running pretty good my only concern is the gearing which is too high 13/39 and the rev limiter ,as i seem to be hitting it very early comparing it to my crf 88 engine,this could be down to the gearing or i just need a rev box to up the rev limit.Any one else hitting the rev limiter since fitting a big bore kit or is it still over fueling because since i put a 85 main jet in it the misfire at the top end has gone but like i said i think im hiting the limiter as it does'nt rev as hard as my 88 crf honda engine,I've noticed that the cdi unit has 5 wire's connected to it what are these wire's as i might try and use a takegawa rev box on the ttr as that also use's 5 wire's to the rev box ,ADVICE PLEASE on the wiring of the cdi unit and the takegawa rev box......

    they don't make any rev limmeter so I don't think that you are over reving it. or hitting the rev limmeter.

    how dose the plug look.

    if you are over fueling it the hole plug will be black it sounds like you are getting to much fuel.

    maybe checkthis site out to help you get it jetted a little better

    I have an 88 kit and have NEVER hit revlimiter, so with that said, I think there is something else wrong with your bike. I have never tried to wire up a tak cdi box or any other box. The yamaha manual may give you a vague diagram on what the wires going into the stock box are, maybe you can figure it out, but my guess is that they are completely different, or else aftermarket companies would have come up with a pigtale adapter by now.

    have you check your valve clearence maybe they are too loose.. so the valves are staying open too long and floating.

    valves are ok and im running a 85 main jet and the needle is in the middle position and air screw is set to 1 and a quarter turns out..the kit came with a 90 and a 92 main jet and it was misfiring at the high end of the rev range with these fitted so i dropped it down to an 85 main jet and it revs clean but it rev's like it's hitting the limiter at high rev's..i'll get a new plug tomorrow and i'll run it for 20 mins to see what the colour is like and if it's black i'll try and find a smaller jet or might change the carb for a 20mm and jet that down and try it...

    18MM carb that come's with the two brothers takegawa 107 kit...
