This is my first post here, since I just got my 50, but are the CRF aftermarket swingarms compatible with the TTR? I am wondering because rather than spend the $250+ on a BBR or something like that I wouldnt mind cheaping out and getting an ebay special, considering Im a college student with no money. I appreciate any help.
yes crf 50 one do fit but they are slightly wider at the swingarm pivot point so you have to make some small spacer to get the crf 50 style swinger to fit good....I've done it on my ttr 50 very easy to do...
Niceee thanks man, on to my next question, I saw a SGD complete front end in the Parts Unlimited Catalog and they are really cheap. I already have honda plastics on the front of my bike to ditch the yamaha fender, will a Honda fork fit the TTR?
with the correct tapered bearing sizes anything is possible to make a front end of one bike fit another as long as the steering tubes are the same length all you got to do is match some tappered bearing to the ttr head stock diameter and the steering tube shaft size of the sdg steering tube...i just fitted a kx 65 forks on a ttr 90 ,just got matching sized bearing and it went straight on...
Hey, I'm using a crf swingarm on my ttr50 but it looks like the sprockets arent lining up? Plus the drum brake slide tab on the swingarm is too wide. Should I use a crf Brake hub and a spacer or what?
Kx 65 Froks Would Be To Long On A Ttr 50 Better Of Getting Some Crf 50 Mazo Forks And Matching Bearings To The Mazo Steering Tube And The Ttr 50 Head Tube....
I WAS THINKING ABOUT FITTING HUSKY 50 MAZO FRONT FORKS AS THEY WOULD BE PERFECT ON A TTR 50 AND HAVE A DISC BRAKE ASWELL....

NO FILE DOWN THE BRAKE TAB OR OPEN UP THE SLOT ON YOUR DRUM AS FOR LINING UP YOUR SWING ARM,HAVE YOU SHIMED THE SWING ARM AND FITTED THE CHAIN STRAIGHT BEFORE MAKING THE SPACERS FOR THE SWINGARM,MY FITS PERFECT AND STRAIGHT..????
Appreciate Buzz, No I havent fitted the chain or made spacers yet. I just basically tried to center the swingarm and used a straight edge to kind of eye it up. I think I'll try it your way instead. Thanks
Put The Chain On First Then True Up The Swing Arm Then Use Washers To See How Much You Have To Space Each Side Then Mearsure Washer And Make Some Shims To The Washers Thickness...
Hey Buzz, it works great. I just took the spacers provided and made bigger ones.... It looks sweet. I also mounted the shock vertical and put a 5" extended swingarm. Just waiting on my new shock to get here and I'll have some pics available.
so will forks made for a crf 50 fit on a ttr 50???
Yes they will if you had read the above post you just have to match up some bearings. Well get different bearing to compensate for the fact the shaft on a crf is a different size. What I would like to know is part #'s for those bearings lol!
