Im 200lbs, and like a little heavier fork oil, so I run Maxima 20wt. How much do you weigh and what kind of riding are you planning on doing?

I'm 185lbs and just street riding, nothing crazy cause the bike is lowered.

What forks do you have? ZB50 uses trans fluid. Budget and it works good.

There is no oil in z50 or even the newer crf50 forks. Just a spring and bushings.

I've seen some pics where people grease the springs but not sure if they pack it with grease or just lube the springs

I run 5wt Maxima in one and 7wt Maxima in the other. With 5wt in both it is a bit soft under hard braking but great for cruisin''. 5wt and 7wt is a great compromise. I run the oil level just above the top valve.
