    I'll toot my own horn and brag how AMAZING it looks so far! I love it! We got it running no problem last night. Although I'm having some fitment issues with the rear wheel/hub. I can't get the wheel in the new swingarm. It's about a 1/8" too tight. Think I'm going to break out the bottle jack and see if I can get it to spread open a bit more. May have to notch the back of the swingarm a bit b/c there is interference with the brake arm and the swingarm. The brake hub spacer portion is just a bit shorter than how far that brake arm on the hub itself sticks out. I'll get some pics up of that issue tonight or tomorrow.

    Any issues with the trail bikes intake for the vm 26 hitting the frame?

    Stock with between the arm should be 167mm

    Watch the welds opening a aluminium swingarm.

    Wait, does your stock 3-bolt hubs fit in the swing arm? Those are aftermarket 4-bolts you bought. They could be the problem as well.

    So, as I said before, the bike is looking super ill but you also bought red plastics. Can we assume you are going for that classic Honda color way of red with a blue seat and gold wheels then? VERY interested to see final plan. Really making it hard for me to resist building a late Z now

    No problems with the intake hitting the frame. The choke knob is super close to the gas tank petcock though. I had to turn the petcock a little, but took all of 30 seconds.

    I was worried about that too, but the swingarm was pretty flexible. It took us all of a minute to get that extra 1/8". The issue I did have was the tires being much taller. They hit the crossbar of the swingarm, so you can only get enough brake stay engagement to feel safe to ride it, lol. I'm going to extend the tab on it a little.

    The stock 3 bolt hub, and the 4 bolt hub that I'm using have the same width actually. The older style 4 bolt hubs actually have bigger brake pads/braking surface, so that helps for my minimoto racing. The swingarm just needed finessed a bit. It was so simple.


    That late 80's supercross CR500 look it exactly what I'm after!

    I had a blast riding this Sunday for our first race! That 88cc V2 kit is no joke! Best way to describe it is 250 two stroke type powerband. It took some getting used to. The front tire comes up real easy!

    Lookin good man!! Mad jealous of that V2 head. Me wants!

    Really need to swap those brake arms or go with the takegawa extended one. Will give you a nice amounted of added leverage up front...and looks pimp


    Also, adjust the front arm to be perpendicular with cable when fully pulled. Again, more leverage.
