Thanks! Was able to fire up Project 1 this past weekend after fresh gas and oil. Started it once w/o the exhaust and no airbox/ filter on the carb, felt strong. Started it again after the exhaust was on and compression felt really soft. I need co clean out the carb, and might just replace it with something else, we'll see. Nice to hear it run after all these year though. Any ideas on the low compression after the exhaust was installed, please chime in!

    Thanks,
    Isaac

Got the tank in for my Z150 Gorilla project. Not entirely happy with how it sits on the frame. The aluminum frame is 3cm longer than the original, but they extended the area between where the tank mounts and the stem, so the tank doesn't snug up nicely to the stem the way I'd like. Haven't yet decided how to correct this, but mocked it up for now. The QR seat cover still needs to be stapled in. Any one know how this is done? Seems almost you need an air compressor to get the staples in.

    Some pics for now..

Will probably end up painting the tank black..

Thanks! I've not been working on them that much this week. I moved the tank on the aluminum frame forward 2" which should help position the rider's weight farther forward, and also avoid sitting right over the rear wheel. Also adjusted the throttle some on the Z50 and seems to be idling better now. Still waiting on parts for the Frankengorilla.
