    my 2 cents:

For all the myriad of Z50's out there (on Ebay) and even the occassional Zb50that comes up, to occassionally get up as high as $4k (a couple of Z50s have been in that range recently)

It seems alot more reasonable to pay $4k for a bike that At least in the U.S. is about a million times rarer than any Zb or Z50 could ever be. Not too mention the frame / full fairing / disc brake etc..etc..etc.............

    So on one hand

-super crude Z50 / lots of them available (K1's seem to grow on trees) / at any given time there are a dozen Z50s on ebay in the $1k- $3k range / properly restored =$4k

    or

-much higher technology / 1 billion times rarer / never sold in USA / looks like perfect original condition = $4k

How many of these are you ever gonna see at any show in North America? / and how fun would it be to ride?

I don't care what Z50 you have (K0 / K1 / K2 / Straight Guard / Slant Guard / Upside Down guard / Barney The purple Dinosaur Guard) none of them will ever be as rare as this Super Monkey thing.

    So,

    Cliffs Notes version

-Will would have bought it if he had the $4k

-Although Will is uber excited about his K2 resto, he would trade it in a nanosecond for this "Super Monkey"

-Will should stop referring to himself in the third person

Thats where you are wrong Grasshopper (Kung Fu refer.) !

Yes these bikes are a novelty to us but landmark bikes such as the Z50 KO are enduring. Check out some of the history of motorcycles/Honda books out there. The Mini Trail is considered one of Honda's best selling models ever. Also one of the longest continually produced models. Z50s , the classic's 68-70, will forever be the most collectable and valued of all the Z's. That bike may be rare but not an icon like the Mighty Zed 50!
    Razzomoto.com......Keepin old school cool.

I agree with that (enduring / recognizable etc....)

but I still say that for ultimate collectability - going with something Uber rare never hurts
