    The blue is a little more dark as original but i like it.
    I will repaint the crankcase cover because i don't like it, i tried another color on the rims an that will be the correct color (not so easy over here to find the correct paint)
    Will post some pics soon when finished.

    I really like this bike. The seat and tank are definitely custom. Some one else might be able to confirm the tank but looks like a XR75 1976 tank. The seat some one has made. It looks to be a cafe racer project that was forgotten about.
    As for the frame I would say you are right with the 1979 model. The rims are different on the '82 I have. Not sure what year they changed though.

    After a bit off looking I think the tank might be off a 1974 MR50 Elsinore. If it is, keep it!!

    I think the wheels mare 78 or 79. The 50 I built came with the same wheels, but the guy also had parts for a 78, so it could be either. Looks fun. Agree looks to br an xr or xl tank.

    Keep that tank on there I think. As far as I know the MR50 was only made for two years. '74 and '75. A frined of mine has a '75 MR50 Elsinore and it is sitting in a shipping container doing nothing. I have offered to buy it but its a no go.

    @Mudflap.

    Nice looking bike. It looks better with the longer swing arm but I think the green side panel with "Z50" on it looks great. It is good to see another road registered Z

    Looking good DennisV. I am aiming for that sort of a look once I finish (and restart) work on my K1.

    I don't think I ever posted my stuff here? I'll just post the 82, as I have the 69 in pieces to do an 88 race head upgrade and start my modifications.

    with the original tank.

    I think you should re enter. You got my vote last time. I am hoping to have my Cafe Racer done by that time so I can stick up. The Gorilla tank makes it look like a new bike.
